Shopping questions

What are Nike FlyEase and EasyOn trainers?

FlyEase and EasyOn identify Nike designs intended to make footwear easier to put on and take off. The mechanism depends on the model: some use a heel that opens or collapses, while others use straps or a zip. Check how the exact pair works before choosing.

The name does not describe one mechanism

Nike explains that EasyOn is the newer name used for its easier-entry design approach. Some EasyOn styles can be stepped into without hands; others still use a strap, zip or another adjustment. Older stock may retain FlyEase in its product name.

The Air Max 90 FlyEase CU0814-101 in this edit has a collapsible heel. The Air Jordan 1 Low FlyEase DM1206-131 uses a hook-and-loop strap and a zip that wraps around the heel. The women’s Air Force 1 ’07 FlyEase HJ9122-100 keeps the AF1 shape with an easy-entry design.

Choose the opening you prefer

Look closely at photographs of the heel, tongue and fastening, and read the product’s explanation of getting the shoe on and off. A preference for fewer laces is different from needing a completely hands-free mechanism.

After checking the closure, compare the full size label and intended use. These selections are everyday trainer styles. A FlyEase or EasyOn label alone does not establish suitability for a specific sport, mobility need or individual fit.

Compare current options

Choose a product to check the available sizes, current price and full details. Stock is specific to each size.

Each displayed shoe has at least four distinct UK sizes that currently pass the stock and availability checks. Size labels and prices belong to the exact variants shown; availability can change.

Questions before you choose

Are all FlyEase trainers completely hands-free?
No. The opening and fastening vary by model. Nike’s guidance includes both hands-free styles and designs that use one or two hands.
Why do some shoes say EasyOn and others FlyEase?
Nike updated the naming of its easier-entry design approach to EasyOn. Product names on existing stock may still use FlyEase; identify the exact model and mechanism.
Can I choose a FlyEase pair only by the size number?
Check the complete size label, product-specific fit guidance and closure design together. Easier entry does not guarantee that every model fits the same way.
